Emily Peca is a Chicago-based fine artist who earned her BFA in Painting from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2025. Coming from a family of professional athletes, she incorporates themes of physicality, competition, and problem-solving into her work. Her pieces feature absurd imagery that reflect her commentary on sport and physicality, especially as a woman facing chronic pain from genetic disorders. This results in a blend of comedic and conflicted scenes, with her techniques rooted in drawing and abstract expressionism, ultimately presenting the human body as a vessel of unending conflict.
